Kathleen, this reminds me of you, because you need a hippo cart, and it also called to mind the tale of your relative who was squished in the first car accident.

I am sitting in studio Three at KFAI, Fresh Air Radio. I haven’t done anything since I made some facebook posts about upcoming events, and am starting to feel  a little useless.

Last week, I helped with set up, but for this time around, I am feeling less … brave? Ballsy? Gung ho? I don’t want to be in the way.

Plus, I don’t have internet at home, so I’m getting my webbing in.

In time, I hope to learn more about set up, become a master of social networking, and convince Augsburg to let this be my official internship… for free.

After Eleven, when Me and my Arrow are done playing, I get to read the upcoming events. This will be my first broadcasting experience since the days of Molly Morgan. I am only nervous about speaking too quickly, and what my official title should be. “Greenswamp Lily, Intern extraordinaire.”

I think things are happening.

Attempting to warm up to Caffetto, my so called Hard Times replacement.

It has the same art, and good music, but whereas at Hard Times, the baristas simply don’t talk to you, the girl here ignored me completely.

I still came back.

If you google “Hidden Beach” it shows up on the map. How’s that for hidden?

That’s where I’ll be going SOON.

I used to try to get all my homework done. I’d do all the readings, and work REALLY, REALLY hard to turn papers in on time.

But that was never good enough, there was always something more I could be doing, and I was sad because I did not have healthy relationships, romantic or otherwise. Heck, I barely had friends!

Now, I couldn’t care less about school. At this moment, I should be writing a doubly over due philosophy paper, and doing research for a 20 page history draft for tomorrow.

Grades don’t get me down any more, and all I do is have sex and enjoy being a young person in Minneapolis. My friendships are strong and supportive, my love life flourishes, and yet… there’s always something more I could be doing.

And just like that… 13 year old Lily learned about human sexuality.

Ok. Back to figuring out my Women’s Studies Speech!!! … and by back to… I mean start.
